Howard'S Mountain Lodge - National Park

I had a comfortable and relaxing stay at a lodge in the heart of the mountains. The staff were friendly and always available when needed. The communal areas were spacious and well-maintained, providing a great social atmosphere. The double room I stayed in was clean and cozy, with blackout curtains for a good night's sleep. The lodge had ample parking options and was conveniently located near essential services. I would highly recommend this hotel for a memorable stay amidst nature.

Perfect location in the heart of the national park village. the lodge was well equipped, especially the kitchen facilities. It was convenient and had everything needed for preparing meals. the staff was helpful and friendly, providing good customer service throughout the stay.

The noise level in the lodge was quite high, especially for rooms located on the ground floor. the proximity to the reception, kitchen, and club room made it difficult to sleep, with hikers starting early in the morning and guests arriving late at night.

Communal areas - kitchen/ tv room are fantastic, great for kids. Our room's tv didn't work, no jacuzzi though. a good stay.

Had a great Christmas stay! The location was perfect for exploring the beautiful surroundings. The lodge had cozy lounges and a well-equipped kitchen, which made it easy to relax and enjoy our time there. We also appreciated the extra amenities like books, DVDs, and a pool table.

. The staff could have been friendlier and more helpful, as we felt a bit neglected and unattended to at times.

Cozy, well-insulated double room with heating. Communal area with pool table, couches, and log fire feels like home. Convenient check-in after 10. Tongariro Family Suite comfortable and clean. Downstairs kitchen not available, but another one and BBQ provided. Recreational room with pool table. Good location near center of village.

Great water pressure in the showers, felt like a refreshing waterfall.

Uncomfortable mattresses, caused back pain during the night.

howard's lodge was everything we hoped for and more. having stayed here before in the past, we knew we were in for a great experience, but this time it truly exceeded our expectations. the private rooms with en-suite bathrooms were perfect for us as senior trampers, and the spacious communal kitchen was a dream for cooking. the friendly staff and convenient location made our stay even more enjoyable.

Convenient access to a major road leading to a popular national park. Clean rooms and easy self-check-in process for late arrivals.- Simple accommodation suitable for a pre-hike stay.

Lack of kitchen facilities in certain room types, with inconvenient kettle filling in the toilet sink. Disappointing shower pressure.

During my Christmas stay, I really enjoyed the cozy and clean rooms at the lodge. the staff were amazing and friendly, always ready to assist and provide helpful information. the location of the lodge was perfect, being very close to the Tangariro Crossing. the fact that the shuttle departs directly from the lodge was a huge convenience.

There were a few aspects that I didn't quite like. I was disappointed to find out that the hot tub was not working and there was no indication of when it would be repaired.

We had a great time staying at Howards Lodge for our trip to the snow. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was convenient for driving there. The communal space with the pool table was a bonus, and the bed in our room was comfortable and warm. The facilities were always clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated being able to book the shuttle bus to Mt. Tongariro crossing at the reception. We'll definitely be coming back!

Great lounge area with a cozy fireplace to relax by, perfect after a long day of hiking. , appreciated the clean towels provided every day, a nice touch. The convenience of having a supermarket nearby was a plus, as well as the reasonably priced bar for a drink.

The bunk beds were not comfortable, and the small rooms felt a bit cramped. The internet was extremely slow and unreliable, making it difficult to stay connected.
